Dragon Ball Game Project Z unveiled as Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, gameplay trailer

Announced this year Dragon Ball Game Project Z has been unveiled as Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot during Microsoft’s Electronic Entertainment Exposition media briefing. The game is developed by CyberConnect2 and will be released by Bandai Namco in early 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Watch the official gameplay trailer below.

This is Bandai Namco's answer to questions about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot just like the two previous parts of Dragon Ball Xenoverse is action role-playing game, but unlike predecessors, it looks like the player will experience the most important Dragon Ball Z events in one storyline, instead of fixing past events. We still know nothing about game mechanics or playable characters. The gameplay trailer shows some combat system, which looks very similar to those in the Xenoverse series and Jump Force. Recently, fans of Dragon Ball games have been waiting for information about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, but there is also a large group of players who are still waiting for Legacy of Goku 4. Who knows, maybe Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will satisfy all these expectations.

Stay tuned for further details about the upcoming game with Goku and the company.
